Battery Usage & Care Guide

Bluetooth Applications

This battery includes a built-in Battery Management System (BMS), accessible via a mobile app, allowing you to monitor:

  • State of Charge (SOC)

  • Cell Temperatures

  • Individual Cell Voltages

Recommended Apps:

⚠️ Note: Battery percentage may fluctuate slightly while idle during early usage as the BMS calibrates to the actual capacity.

Charging

  • Charging Time: Approximately 3 hours from completely flat.

  • Instructions:

    1. Insert both charging leads.

    2. Power on the charger.

    3. Press the button in on the battery to begin charging.

🔋 This battery has been destructively tested to UN38.3 safety standards. However, we highly recommend charging:

  • Under supervision

  • Away from sleeping areas

  • Near a smoke detector

Charging via Car Inverter:

  • Must be a pure sine wave inverter

  • Minimum power rating: 1000W

  • Equivalent to a 250Ah 12V battery

  • Best suited for long drives due to high energy demand

Usage

  • The battery may warm slightly during operation due to internal resistance.

  • In the BMS app:

    • T1 & T2 show internal cell temperatures.

    • A temperature increase of ~20°C during use is normal.

Battery Longevity Tips:
Avoid activities that shorten battery life, including:

  • Storing fully charged or fully empty

  • Storing in hot environments or direct sunlight

  • Repeated deep-water starts with poor technique

  • Long-duration high-speed runs (e.g., towing or follow modes)

⚠️ If your sessions last under 1 hour, the battery has been working hard and aging faster.

Storage

  • Store between 40–60% state of charge

  • Keep in a cool, dry location

  • Avoid direct sunlight

Cleaning

  • Use a mild detergent and soft cloth

  • Do not submerge
